High-Frequency Electrosurgical Unit HFE-200 "Nadiya-4", Model 200RK/DFS
This device is designed for coagulation (vessel sealing) and cutting (resection) of soft tissues and blood vessels using high-frequency (HF) current during surgical procedures in hospitals and clinics, utilizing monopolar or bipolar electrosurgical instruments.
The unit is intended for use in specially equipped rooms at ambient temperatures from 10 °C to 35 °C and relative humidity up to 80 % at 25 °C ambient temperature.
Principle of Operation
The device is a high-frequency current source to which monopolar (active and passive electrodes) and bipolar electrosurgical instruments can be connected. HF voltage is applied to the selected electrodes depending on the chosen operating mode.
The electrosurgical cutting and coagulation effect is based on heating biological tissues with a narrow HF current flow at the contact point of the active monopolar instrument or between the tips of the bipolar instrument.
When using a monopolar instrument, the active electrode is significantly smaller than the passive electrode, resulting in much higher current density and tissue heating near the active electrode. At sufficient power, tissue fluid vaporizes, causing cutting.
When using a bipolar instrument, both electrodes are active and positioned close together. HF voltage between them generates current that heats tissue, causing protein coagulation at the appropriate temperature.
Main Technical Specifications and Characteristics
The unit provides two functions: cutting and coagulation. The operating modes and parameters are listed in the table below:
